These 3 classes combined will provide you with everything you need to know to massage pain-free.

Delivering Pressure Without Hurting Yourself  Online (3 CEU, NCBTMB-approved) – $49 USD

Your body type, massage style and injuries/pain conditions will determine the body mechanics strategies and massage techniques that will work best for you. In this course, you’ll learn how to:

  • use your  body weight (instead of your upper-body) to generate pressure
  • use the table for support to take any tension out of your back
  • get vertical so that you’re not massaging in the hunchback-massage position
  • combine body parts to save your hands
  • smooth out transitions when applying the new body mechanic strategies
  • hold a massage tool

How to Use Massage Tools Online (2.5 CEU, NCBTMB-approved) – $39 USD

A massage tool is a beautiful thing. But it can be a painful thing, too–if you don’t know how to hold it in a way that doesn’t hurt your hand. In this course, you’ll learn how to:

  • get efficient with pinning the massage tool
  • apply force with a massage tool by using your body weight
  • relax your hand when holding a massage tool
  • adjust the pressure by adjusting your “lean”
  • palpate the tissue you’re working on while using a massage tool

Advanced Massage Tools Online (2.5 CEU, NCBTMB-approved) – $39 USD

Once you get competent with massage tools, you’ll use them in every massage, from relaxation to detail work. In this course, you’ll learn how to:

  • use a variety of massage tools
  • skillfully apply the full ranges of pressure
  • apply focused pressure in the lamina groove
  • sense the tissue “through the massage tool”
  • glide effortlessly with massage tool with focused and broad pressure
  • adeptly work feet without having to press with your thumb
  • seamlessly transition from massage tool to hands, forearms or fists

* The 3 classes are yours forever. No recurring fee.

Free Pain-Free Massage Therapist: The Common Sense Way to Make You a Pain-Free Massage Therapist E-Book- $10 USD
Deborah N – Amazon Review

I really enjoyed reading “Pain Free Massage”, and am starting to implement some of Mark Liskey’s suggestions to refine my massage practice. I have been doing deep tissue and neuromuscular massage for 23 years now. This last couple of years have started to take their toll on me( I am in south FL, and we have been back open and busy since Summer 2020).Lots of sore joints and tendinitis. Finding “Pain Free Massage” ,and Mark’s videos have been a game changer. Yes, I will have to do some things differently, and change some of my “signature moves” that are causing me pain, but now I can look forward to several more years in the field.I highly recommend this book to seasoned LMTs and beginners alike.

I’m so happy to have found this book! I’m in Massage school right now and I was looking for ways to use better body mechanics and prevent injuries. I’m tall so I need to be careful of my back. I really like the videos that accompany the book too. Thank you Mark.

When choosing to become a Massage Therapist as a second career I knew it would take a toll on myself physically; especially after years of being an athlete causing wear and tear on my body. It was no secret to me, if I wanted to have a long-fulfilled career in a field I have so passionately connected with I would need tools to help me along as I matured in the profession.

I consider myself lucky, not only was I able to read Mark’s book on being ‘The Pain-Free Massage Therapist’ learning about techniques that I could easily adapt and apply to my everyday work life. I also work directly with Mark as one of the Massage Therapist at his personally owned business. He has mentored and educated me on specific adaptations I have made to protect myself, the exact same ones from in this book!!

In adding these techniques, ideal table height for me, stacking my joints, utilizing the table as a support to apply the appropriate pressure, AND incorporating massage tools! Combining these techniques have made all the difference in minimizing my pain and strain as I work. A must read for ALL Massage Therapists, students through seasoned professionals!

My goal is help massage therapists work pain-free and thrive. Here are some massage therapists who have experimented with my techniques and tried out some of my suggestions. Finding out what works for each person is a process. That is why I am along for the ride. 🙂

Mary F. – Self-Employed Massage Therapist

Kerry Ann P. – Massage Therapist and Educator

“I met Mark In 2016.  I knew a lot about him and was finally interviewing him as a candidate to teach for the PA. American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).   My name is Kerry Peters, I’ve been a massage therapist for over 25 years. For several years was co-chair of the PA AMTA South East Unit,  responsible for providing biannual Continuing Education events to members in the 5 counties of the Philadelphia region.  We often hosted nationally recognized instructors – but I wanted local talent, so I had to personally vet credentials!  I reviewed websites, presentations on website, You Tube, and published writings of local NCBTMB approved providers.  Mark was the most impressive on ALL counts

Mark was selected to provided his program DELIVERING DEEP PRESSURE WITHOUT HURTING YOURSELF.  25 participants had little experience with, and mixed feelings about, using tools for massage.  Mark did a great job with the audience.  He gave material in a logical, progressive style,  had good timing for practice and supervision.  His handout matched the presentation and was user friendly for practice sessions.  At the conclusion of of every Unit program participants must give feedback.  Mark got very good feedback on his presentation, participants experienced the value of self care by working with tools,  felt more comfort using a variety of tools.  Successful program!  Would hire again to teach.”

Brooke – LMT and PTA

Leslie L. – LMT and Personal Trainer

In December of 2016, I took a 4 hour continuing education class with Mark Liskey at Pressure Perfect in Phoenixville. The class was focused on using new wooden massage tools that were developed by Mark and some of his colleagues. The tools helped the therapist to use good body mechanics, make it easier on their hands and helped the therapist to reach certain areas of the client’s body in a more efficient and diverse way. The class was offered in the evening, which worked really well for my schedule. The staff and the fellow students in the class were friendly and approachable, and the atmosphere was relaxed yet stimulating. It was really nice working with fellow massage therapists and giving feedback about the tools. I definitely recommend Mark Liskey as a continuing education provider. He’s experienced, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

If you have questions about the Pain-Free Massage Therapist package, like how would it address your challenges, please contact me directly at mark@makethemostofmassage.com. Thanks for your time, and here’s to a long, prosperous and rewarding career!
